The Soyuz SU-013MAC is a matched pair of SU-013 microphones with cardioid, omni, hypercardioid capsules and -10dB Pad. These microphone use the same capsule as the Soyuz SU-011 tube mic but features an additional FET preamp. Using the Soyuzs' proprietary transformer this microphone has a rich and beautiful sound. These microphones are designed, manufactured, and assembled in the city of Tula. Literally everything in a Soyuz mic is of Russian manufacture, from the custom hand wound transformers to the handmade wooden boxes and shock mounts. Compared to many pencil condensers, the SU-013 is a touch beefier in size and weight. It measures 4.8" in length, is just shy of 1" in diameter, and it weighs just under half a pound.
