The SM7B is a dynamic microphone. It has a smooth, flat, wide-range frequency response. It is good for music and speech in all pro audio. It has great shielding against electromagnetic hum from computer monitors, neon lights, and other devices. The SM7B has been updated from earlier models with a better bracket design. It provides greater stability. In addition to its standard windscreen, it also includes the A7WS windscreen for close-talk applications.
