  • The RME Digiface Dante is an audio interface that combines USB 3.0, MADI, and DANTE formats to give you up to 256 channels of digital connectivity. As such, you can route and mix digital audio coming from multiple sources. It does this at low latency and also gives you the TotalMix FX bundle to apply processing to all of your submixes. With various channel configurations, it can operate at sample rates of up to 192 kHz and at resolutions of 24 bits.

On the front of the unit, you'll find four RJ45 Ethernet ports for Dante connections. These ports support both 100 Mb/s and 1 Gb/s, and can be used in Switched or Redundancy modes. You'll also note 2 BNC sockets for MADI I/O or wordclock connections and a 1/4" headphone output. The headphone output can monitor any audio channel and can also supply an analog stereo mix-down connection.

The rear of the Digiface Dante sports a USB connection for USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 at reduced channel counts (64 channels, Dante only). You can also bus-power the unit over USB, though it's recommended that you use the included power supply if you're running all four network connections and the headphone output at once.

Use this device with your Mac or Windows computer over USB, or operate the unit in standalone. In standalone, the Digiface Dante turns into a 64-channel Dante/MADI converter.

To aid you in routing and mixing signals, the Digiface Dante ships with TotalMix FX. Also included is DiGiCheck DSP, utility software that provides tools to test, measure, and analyze digital audio streams. These tools include peak metering, RMS metering, standardized loudness metering, a vector audio scope, bit statistics, a spectral analyzer, and more.
