Combining many features from the DIRECTOR series of DI boxes into a single, 1 RU form factor, the DIRECT 8 from Whirlwind is an eight-channel passive direct box that is ideal for converting unbalanced signals from numerous instruments, keyboards, acoustic guitar preamps, CD or tape players, computer sound cards, and much more, into balanced signals for studio and stage applications. Parallel wired 1/4" jacks and balanced XLR outputs, along with full channel isolation and the potent TRHL-M metal-shielded transformer, provide the low-noise performance of eight separate DIs in one, and the convenient ground-lift switches allow you to manually eliminate hum and buzz on each channel individually to diagnose any ground loop issues that might remain.
