As the new flagship of Ex Machina Soundworks, the Arcturus is not just their largest and loudest monitor, but also their most technologically advanced offering to date.
Product Features:
- Proprietary DSP correction of both phase and magnitude linearity
- Out of this world imaging
- Twin ring radial neodymium SEAS subwoofers
- Exceptional symmetry and motor strength, even at extreme excursions
- Cutting edge materials science
- Stiff, dense, and well-damped Valchromat cabinets
- Ultra-rigid 1.5" laminated front baffle
Designed primarily for soffit-installed mains applications, the Arcturus leverages the same coaxial and axisymmetric technology from Ex Machina's well-regarded Quasar model. What sets the Arcturus apart is its unique integration of twin ring radial neodymium SEAS subwoofers – a design that delivers some of the lowest distortion and most linear output ever measured in their products.
These ultra-low distortion, exceptionally linear subwoofers feature a unique split-gap twin ring radial neodymium motor. The result? Exceptional symmetry and motor strength, even at extreme excursions. Put simply, these are the best 26cm subwoofers they've ever engineered or measured.
The Arcturus also integrates the same electronics as the Quasar model with an added 2RU remote AMP/DSP pack which will require top and bottom venting. The sealed Valchromat cabinets are stiff, dense, and well-damped, with none of the chuffing or group delay of ported designs. The ultra-rigid 1.5" laminated front baffle handles the impressive output of the twin 10.24" subwoofers, while the radiused insets for the subwoofers eliminate potential lip shadow from the tall boy surrounds.
