Cardas Audio, started in 1987 by George Cardas, is known for making high-quality audio cables and accessories that improve sound performance. George used his experience as a telephone line engineer and his love for music to create cables with ultra-pure copper and multi-stranded Litz conductors, applying Golden Ratio principles to reduce interference and enhance clarity. Some of his early designs, like the Hexlink and Golden Cross cables, helped make digital recordings sound smoother, while his later cables, such as the Neutral Reference, focused on delivering more accurate sound.
Now based in Bandon, Oregon, Cardas Audio is a family-run business with George still leading the design side, while his daughter Angela manages operations. Over the years, the company has grown from a small garage operation to a global name in the audio world. Their latest innovation, the Matched Propagation Conductor, solves signal transmission issues for even clearer sound, and is used in their top-tier Clear range of cables.
