The BURL Audio B16 MOTHERSHIP 3 is a 2U, 2-slot version of the revolutionary B80 MOTHERSHIP, Burl Audio’s signature product. Simply put, the B80 MOTHERSHIP has redefined digital recording, and now the legendary sound can be found in a smaller, more portable B16 MOTHERSHIP. Utilizing technology developed for the B80, the B16 MOTHERSHIP uses the exact same I/O cards as the B80 MOTHERSHIP, continuing Burl Audio's deep dedication to analog, Class A circuitry. The result is not only heard, but it is also felt. The MOTHERSHIP stands out from every other interface on the market not because it is colored, but because it does not sterilize the source.
Using a card-based system, and a heavy-duty 2U chassis, the B16 MOTHERSHIP employs 2 daughter card slots with an internal power supply and your choice of Motherboard for Digilink, MADI, Dante, or SoundGrid connectivity. Every ADC channel uses a proprietary BX1 transformer and every DAC channel has the latest Burl Audio discrete op-amp, BOPA4.
For anyone who has yearned for a MOTHERSHIP in a smaller format, this is a dream come true.
BMB2 MADI MOTHERBOARD
The BMB2 features two optical MADI ports for use with ASIO (Windows) or CORE AUDIO (Mac) PCIe MADI cards. With two optical ports, 64-in/64-out at 44.1k, 48k, 88.2k, 96k, and 32-in/32-out at 176.4k, and 192k are supported. With 6 BAD8s and 4 BDA8s a 48×32 IO can be achieved. With 2 BAD8s and 8 BDA8s a 16×64 IO can be achieved. With the configurability of the Mothership the IO possibilities are limitless.

BAD16 DAUGHTER CARD
The BURL Audio BAD16 is a BURL BLACK analog-to-digital converter daughter card for the B16 Mothership. The BAD16 features 16 channels of all discrete transistor, Class A, transformer-coupled, AD conversion. The BAD16 employs the latest BURL Audio NextGen analog section featuring the BX8 transformer, a smaller form factor input transformer for higher channel density.
With its higher channel density, the BAD16 brings the superior Class A analog technology that BURL Audio is known for, at a lower cost per ADC channel compared to the existing BURL GREEN ADC line.
The BAD16 in a B16 chassis is the ideal 16 channel input solution for recording musicians or project studios who have yearned for a Mothership, but the price point was beyond their budget. BDA12 ORCA DAUGHTER CARD
The BURL Audio BDA12 ORCA is a BURL BLACK monitor control and DAC daughter card for the B16 MOTHERSHIP. The BDA12 features 12 channels of Class A, discrete transistor op-amp, digital to analog conversion, plus stereo, Class A, speaker and headphone, monitoring. The BDA12 employs the latest BURL Audio NextGen analog section featuring the BOPA14 op-amp, and multichannel DAC chip technology for increased channel density.
