The SGM-3500L Broadcast Shotgun Microphone from Azden is designed for video and audio production with a camcorder, video DSLR, or portable audio recorder. With a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, it is suitable for boom pole use in professional video productions.
Measuring nearly 10" in length, the SGM-3500L's long interference tube generates a hypercardioid polar pattern resulting in extreme off-axis sound rejection, especially at the higher frequencies. Featuring an all metal brass body that provides optimal RF rejection and durability, 48V phantom power, a gold-plated XLR connector to ensure a good connection and high resistance to corrosion and a boosted frequency response around 5 kHz where speech articulation is most present for clarity, the SGM-3500L boasts an ultralow noise floor at 13 dB for crystal clear audio.
Low Self-Noise
The 3500 series boasts an ultra-low noise floor at 13 dB (A weighted), for crystal clear audio.
Tuned for Speech Capture
Frequency response is boosted around 5 kHz to 10 kHz where speech articulation is most present.
All-Metal Brass Body
Provides optimal RF rejection and durability.
Gold-Plated XLR Connector
To ensure a good connection and a high resistance to corrosion.
High-Sensitivity Mic Element
Captures a level of detail and nuance beyond any other Azden microphone.
Wide Frequency Response
40 Hz to 20 kHz with roll-off at the first octave to avoid low-frequency noise.
48V Phantom Power
Phantom power is a DC voltage supplied through a balanced microphone cable and used to power the electronics of the connected microphone.
