Experience extreme audio fidelity throughout your gaming sessions with the Audeze LCD-GX high-performance planar magnetic gaming headphones. Designed for reliable comfort during extended gameplay, these over-ear, open-back headphones feature lightweight magnesium housings, thick memory foam earpads, and a suspension headband. The sensitive neodymium planar magnetic transducers utilize ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragms and single-sided Fluxor magnetic arrays to produce a wide frequency response of 10 Hz to 50 kHz with low distortion.
The LCD-GX headphones come with two swappable cables to accommodate gaming with or without voice chat. The GX cable offers a built-in flexible boom mic, an in-line microphone mute control, and a 3.5mm TRRS connector, making it compatible with most gaming systems, computers, and mobile devices. The other included cable is a standard 1/4" audio cable for listen-only applications with a dedicated headphone amplifier or DAC.
Comfort
The LCD-GX is handcrafted in Audeze's California factory and features magnesium housings, memory foam ear pads, and a suspension headband designed to reduce weight and extend comfort for marathon gaming sessions.
Performance
A single-sided Fluxor magnetic structure provides high sensitivity and low distortion, allowing the LCD-GX to work with a wide variety of devices. To get the best output from the headphones, Audeze suggests pairing them with a dedicated amplifier and DAC.
Boom Microphone
The LCD-GX includes a detachable cable with a built-in, directional, noise-attenuating boom microphone. The thoughtfully designed microphone cable includes a mute button and flexible gooseneck arm, allowing customized positioning to ensure each individual can find the angle that works best for them. An integrated pop filter reduces plosives and noise from blasts of breath.
Compatibility
The LCD-GX comes with two exchangeable cables—the GX boom mic cable and a standard LCD Series 1/4" cable (for those who don't always need the boom mic). The boom mic cable terminates with a 3.5mm TRRS plug for use with a variety of gaming systems, computers, and mobile devices. A 3.5mm TRRS to dual 3.5mm TRS splitter is included to allow separate headphone and microphone inputs.
